Core Control Function

As the "brain" of the MT13 gas engine, the ECU is responsible for precisely controlling gas injection, ignition timing, and the emission system to meet China VI emission standards. The specific control logic is closely related to the CFV (Continuous Flow) electronically controlled gas system adopted by the MT13: the ECU issues fuel supply commands to the CFV valve, and the CFV valve changes the gas mass flow by adjusting the outlet pressure and valve core position, continuously correcting the gas supply based on data such as supply pressure and temperature so that the actual flow matches the value calculated by the ECU. This continuous-flow supply method helps distribute gas evenly to each cylinder in the intake manifold, reducing engine vibration and single-cylinder knock caused by uneven supply among cylinders.

Gas Economy and Combustion Characteristics

The CFV electronic control system of the MT13 supports lean burn. Official materials state that it can improve the thermal efficiency of natural gas combustion by approximately 15% compared with conventional combustion processes, while reducing the internal combustion temperature of the engine by more than 100°C. This characteristic helps consume less fuel when outputting the same power and, due to the lower combustion temperature, extends oil service life and reduces NOx emissions.
